Vehicle Preparation Operative

To work as part of a team within the Super hub and its satellite stations, in the cleaning and preparation of the vehicles, ensuring that service levels of the highest standard are achieved

Key Tasks

Service
• To be the first step in an important fight against patient acquired infection
• To clean and prepare the vehicles at the specific London Ambulance complex and its satellite stations, as required
• To clean the vehicles inside and out, on a daily basis as per specifications
• To replace consumables in the vehicles, on a daily basis, as per specifications
• To ensure that all major equipment in the ambulances, e.g. Stretcher, Defibrillators etc. are in good working order and checked on a daily basis
• To clean the drivers cab on the inside on a daily basis
• To undertake a deep clean of the vehicles on a six-weekly basis
• To communicate with the Team Leader, Supervisor and the client, keeping them up to date with any problems or issues
• To use the company time and attendance system, using the required telephone, at the beginning and end of the shifts, to record the hours that you worked
• To attend any training or meetings as required
• To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Contract Manager, the Regional Manager, the Team Leader or the Supervisor

• Work together with the rest of the team
• Be flexible to carry out a variety of tasks as instructed by the Team Leader and/or Supervisor

Relationships

• Establish and maintain good working relationship with clients and other customers
• Ensure personal conduct is of the highest standard whilst on the hospital premises, exhibiting courtesy and efficiency to patients, visitors and users of the service at all times
• To follow any reasonable request from Trust staff
Health & Safety

• To be aware of your responsibilities under Health and Safety Legislation
• To ensure that the company colour coding systems is widely displayed and implemented in all service areas
• To ensure full compliance with COSHH legislation
• To ensure full compliance with food hygiene guidelines
• To ensure that all accidents and incidents are reported to the Team Leader and/or Supervisor
• Support with all Health and Safety systems and the up keep of risk assessments
