ENGIE are recruiting for a Security Officer to be based at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stratford London E20 2ST. This is a permanent full time role working 42 hours per week. Working Hours are 12 hour shifts, 4 on 4 off. 08:00 - 20:00 and 20:00 - 08:00,day and night. On offer is a salary of £24.024 per annum.

General Overview:

The successful candidate will be part of a team who are responsible for the professional reception of guests, management of the security on the QEOP, event safety and ensuring the highest standard of customer service at all times. To provide clear communication and operational professionalism in the fields of incident management and response within large public areas.This role is external based.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

•Provide timely and effective communication to the business on incidents that affect the running of the QEOP.
•Responsible for the essential functions of liaison and assistance to visitors to the QEOP, react to incidents and issues within the common domain areas of the QEOP, responsible for health and safety and welfare of visitors and staff, to carry out patrol duties over wide areas
•To manage QEOP incidents and deal with accordingly.
•Develop and maintain good working relationships with applicable local agencies and services

Qualifications or Required Experience:

•Must hold valid Door Supervisor SIA licence
•Complete knowledge of large public/open spaces and challenges they present
•A decisive and assertive decision maker who can interpret situations to proceed with a prioritised action plan that achieves the results required
•Has the ability to contribute toward a team’s operation or can work on his own initiative
•Excellent report-writing and analytical skills with attention to detail
•Able to communicate effectively and clearly at all levels within the organisation
•Able to adapt to an ever changing environment and be flexible with regards to job role
•A valid UK driving licence with maximum of 6 points is desirable but not essential
•BS7858 – be subject of thorough personal background checks which include financial checks
