Job description
To assist in Bricklaying work, carrying out duties and responsibilities in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations.
Work on a construction site to given specifications, setting out basic structures, building brick and block walling, laying domestic drainage, placing and finishing concrete and render surfaces.
Measuring the work area and setting out the first of bricks (courses) and damp course.
Mixing mortar by hand or with a mechanical mixer.
Laying the bricks on top of each other and applying the mortar with a trowel.
Shaping and trimming bricks using hammers, chisels and power tools.
Checking that courses are straight using water or laser spirit levels.
Complete apprenticeship framework in line with individual learning plan.
The outlined duties may vary from time to time without materially changing either the character or level of responsibility.

Applicants are aged 18 and over.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK or E.U.
Good written and verbal communication skills, including the skill of listening and following both simple and complex instructions.
Minimum Level 2 in Functional Skills or GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths. (GCSE’s valid within last 5 years).
CSCS Card.
Applicants from London borough of Tower Hamlets or surrounding boroughs.
