CityWest Homes are looking for an accountant apprentice to carry out duties relating to the payment of suppliers and the collection and recording of income due to be collected by the Company for activities within the Housing Revenue Account.

Job description (including responsibilities)
1.Process financial transactions for designated areas of responsibility maintaining standards of accuracy and timeliness to predetermined standards.
2.Assist with the development and maintenance of financial processes and procedures to collect and properly account for income payable to the HRA and CityWest Homes for designated areas in a timely manner.
3.Assist with the development and maintenance of financial processes and procedures to make payments on behalf of the HRA and CityWest Homes to providers, constructors, staff and other suppliers for designated areas in a timely manner.
4.Liaise with budget holders, Westminster City Council, providers, constructors, suppliers and other stakeholders to the resolution of issues arising during course of work.
5.Perform assigned tasks relating to the monthly monitoring and annual accounts cycles in accordance with pre-determined timetables.
6.Participate in reviews of service areas and business proposals as required by the Financial Operations Lead, to ensure that issues associated with the processing of financial transactions are properly considered.
7.Maintain and record income in relation to residents rent accounts, ensuring payments are allocated correctly and rent accounts are up to date.
Five GCSE grades C – A* (or 4-9), including Maths and English.
B grade at Maths GCSE (all accounting role).
Ideally, we are looking for recent school leavers and non-graduates for the role.
GCSE Mathematics and English or equivalent
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with a range of customers and stakeholders to create effective working relationships.
Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Personal Qualities Diligent.
