Working Supervisor


To work as part of a team within the Super hub and its satellite stations, in the cleaning and preparation of the vehicles, ensuring that service levels of the highest standard are achieved

Key Tasks

• To supervise and support the Vehicle Preparation Team in ensuring that the required standards in cleaning consistency, operating standards and infection control are maintained
• To make regular checks of the vehicles after preparation to monitor the work undertaken by the team, and, by using PDA/ICT equipment, monitor standards
• To ensure that all ambulances are re-stocked with consumables and have the required equipment on board, before the vehicle leaves the station
• To be responsible for the efficient working of the team and regularly review the performance and effectiveness of each team member
• To mentor and asses individuals where necessary in order to maintain the quality of cleaning in line with the National Standards of cleanliness
• To provide specific training on equipment, cleaning practices and use of chemicals to all the Operatives under your control
• To monitor the usage of cleaning materials on site, making sure that the correct cleaning materials are used for the task in-hand
• To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Contract Manager, the Regional Manager or the Team Leader
• To be willing to develop and cover temporary Team Leader positions
• To attend any training or meetings, e.g. Complex Meetings, as required
• To undertake any and all VPO duties as required

• Be flexible to carry out a variety of tasks as instructed by the Team Leader and/or Supervisor

• Establish and maintain good working relationship with clients and other customers
• Ensure personal conduct is of the highest standard whilst on the hospital premises, exhibiting courtesy and efficiency to patients, visitors and users of the service at all times
• To follow any reasonable request from Trust staff
Health & Safety

• To be aware of your responsibilities under Health and Safety Legislation
• To ensure that the company colour coding systems is widely displayed and implemented in all service areas
• To ensure full compliance with COSHH legislation
• To ensure full compliance with food hygiene guidelines
• To ensure that all accidents and incidents are reported to the Team Leader and/or Supervisor
• Support with all Health and Safety systems and the up keep of risk assessments
