Robertson Bell Finance are proud to be working in partnership with Tower Hamlets Homes, an award winning ALMO (Arm’s Length Management Organisation) to recruit a Trainee Accountant. Based near Canary Wharf, Tower Hamlets Homes provides housing services to the local community of Tower Hamlets in London’s East End. The 21,000 homes they manage comprise of both leasehold and tenanted residences and represent roughly 20% of all homes in the borough. As such, the organisation has a powerful local presence, and their strong efforts over the last ten years have resulted in a significant increase in overall resident satisfaction.

The role of the Trainee Accountant will support many functions within the Finance team on a rotational basis and gain a valuable understanding of how various roles fit into the organisation, while providing crucial assistance to team members performing their duties.
No experience of Finance is required for the position, but the appointed candidate will have a genuine desire to be part of a housing organisation that provides a valuable service to the residents of Tower Hamlets, along with a thirst for learning accounting functions. These will include:
*Leasehold Service Charge Accounting
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the confidence to interact with senior staff and external service providers. You will be a team player with the drive to grow and succeed in your Finance career. You will be required to study towards a recognised accountancy qualification (AAT) and your study will be supported by the organisation.
