Main Duties:

You will have a varied workload, which usually entails based from a local strategic site office but carrying out multiple visits to properties throughout various locations when carrying out responsive and void repairs. Typical work activities include:

1.Day to day management of workload
2.Ensure that all works are carried out safely and to a excellent quality standard
3.Updating PDA devices with work schedules and other key information as required
4.To maintain our corporate image and service standards
5.Be able to communicate with residents Face to Face
6.Where necessary, dealing with tenants issues and complaints in an effective manner
7.Ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations, standards, and legal responsibilities relating to repair work and contractor compliance.
8.Ensure a quality `right first time fix’ service is maintained
9.Manage Impress stock within van to minimize non working time.
10.Ensuring the effective and proactive delivery of service
11.Ensuring the maintenance and delivery of any documentation required to agreed standard and timescale
12.To work as an integral team member as well as a mentor and coach to apprentices
13.Making decisions using specialist experience
14.Supports and manages delivery of health and safety policy and standards
15.Supports & assists the identification of the reduction of costs
16.May take part in out of hours on call system as required by the service

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:


1.Site Operative CSCS card
2.Asbestos Awareness Training
3.Trade City & Guilds/ NQV qualification
4.Full UK driving License


SMSTS Health and Safety
1.First Aid Trained
2.Trade City & Guilds/ NQV qualification
3.CRB check preferred
4.Multi Trade Discipline
5.Lock Smith

Knowledge and experience

1.Experience within the responsive maintenance environment
2.At least 3 years experience in plumbing and other multi building trades. This includes tiling, carpentry, external works etc.
3.Ability to operate a PDA devise
4.Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
5.Excellent planning and organizational skills.
6.Basic understanding of schedule of rates
7.Ability to communicate with management
8.Knowledge of the London Area
