New Business Project Manager
Are you interested in making a difference to the lives of people in South-East London? Our schemes range from mixed tenure sites incorporating affordable rented, shared ownership, private sale and commercial units to smaller mono-tenure sites.
Our New Business Team is responsible for securing the sites that will deliver the new build programme, and taking them forward to starting on site when they are handed over to our delivery team. You will secure sites using different sources such as land agents, vendors, contractors and house-builders. Our priority is to source land led deals where Hexagon can influence the design process, and you will play a pivotal role in helping us to achieve this. Being part of a small team, you will be working on a range of opportunities and will be tasked with using your judgement to secure the best sites for Hexagon.
We have approval to deliver approximately 220 homes as part of the 2016/21 Affordable Homes Programme, which we are well on the way to delivering. Looking forward, we expect approval of our 2016/22 addendum Affordable Homes Programme bid in Autumn 18’ that will deliver an additional approximately 70 homes. Additionally, we are continuing to pursue open market sites.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with relevant experience/transferable skills gained in a housing or construction related field. A background in housing association development would be desirable, but as a minimum, you must have the ability to learn complex processes quickly, and have excellent communication, numeracy, organisational and IT skills. New business experience will be an advantage.
