Duties:
The Apprentice Buyer is responsible for the processing day-to-day plant and material requisitions and producing, scanning, sending, and saving purchase orders.
To provide support to the procurement team, supporting the self-delivery works on site and the production of Supply Contracts and Purchase Orders.
Input of Purchase Orders onto the Assettagz system.
Administer the Assettagz system for managing purchases and stock levels.
Administer a system for monitoring supply chain performance, collecting performance data and producing management reports.
Administer the system for purchase orders placement and hire agreements, ensuring the Procurement Procedure is followed.
Produce enquiries, assemble pricing comparisons (bid tabs), and ensuring management sign off.
Support the Procurement Team in establishing long-term arrangements with supply chain providers (plant, equipment, materials and in-directs)
Carry out other duties as required by the Senior Supply Chain Manager.

Essential Criteria:
High level of computer literacy especially Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer.
A confident approach to work, with the ability to multi task as and when needed.
Good interpersonal and communications skills.
Analytical mind and logical problem solving.
Able to work as part of a team.
Committed to ethos of an accountable, cost effective, high quality, customer driven service delivery.
Desire to complete tasks to the highest standards and by set deadlines.
Good academic record Advantageous.
Basic knowledge/experience of construction.
Experience of a procurement related role.

This role is PAYE only.

Successful applicants will undergo a Drug and Alcohol test.
